We left from the hotel in Puerto Montt, went through Puerto Varas to pick up other tourists, to do the circuit of Lake Llanquihue, we were in the towns of Llanquihue, Frutillar and Puerto Octay. Lush green landscapes, which like postcards are accompanied by the Calbuco, Osorno and Puntiagudo volcanoes. All accompanied by the entertaining and very illustrative narration of the history of that Region and the towns, told by a wonderful guide and a very responsible driver.

Frutillar is one of the most captivating towns on Lake Llanquihue; see it for yourself on this wonderful day trip from Puerto Montt.

Frutillar Day Trip

At around 2 pm, we'll pick you up from your hotel in central Puerto Montt and we'll head north towards our first destination: Llanquihue.

There, we'll see the source of the Maullin River and learn some interesting facts about the old Settlers' Route. Did you know that this town is known for its jerky? We'll soon discover why. Also, we'll visit Lake Llanquihue, the second-largest lake in Chile.

Our next stop will be Frutillar, a German village where we'll find traditional wooden Bavarian houses and also learn about the Frutillar Music Weeks and why it has become the music capital of the country.

As we explore its colorful streets and observe its manicured gardens, we'll enjoy unparalleled views of the Puntiagudo and Osorno volcanoes. Also, if you wish, you can visit the German Colonial Museum and admire the Teatro del Lago, one of the most important in all of South America.

Lastly, we'll be on our way back to Puerto Montt, arriving at your hotel at 6:30 pm approximately.

Partimos desde el hotel en Puerto Montt, pasamos por Puerto Varas a recoger otros turistas, para hacer el circuito del Lago LLanquihue, estuvimos en las localidades de LLanquihue, Frutillar y Puerto Octay. Paisajes verdes exuberantes, que como postales se acompañan de los volcanes Calbuco, Osorno y Puntiagudo. La actividad fue muy bien organizada y los lugares son preciosos. Se visita Puerto Octay, Llanquihue y Frutillar. Los lugares son muuuy hermosos y únicos en su geografía.
