Tour Details

At the selected time, we'll meet at Vico Sant'Anna di Palazzo, 52, to start this tour of underground Naples. Are you ready to take a trip back in time?

We'll access the underground of the capital of Campania through stairs that'll take us over 40 meters deep. Inside we'll find a labyrinth of tunnels and cisterns dating back more than 2,400 years, from the Greco-Roman period!

This is a completely unknown side of Naples, a hidden and silent underground city that was even used as an air-raid shelter during the Second World War.

As we walk through the depths of Naples, we'll uncover many mysteries and legends related to these tunnels that once served to supply water to the city. During the visit, we'll also see antique pieces of furniture and many items from the 19th century, as the subway tunnels were also used as a dumping ground.

After one hour of exploring, we'll return to the surface and end the tour in Via Chiaia, very close to the starting point.

Tommy, che ci ha fatto da guida in questo bellissimo tour nei sotterranei di Napoli, è stato davvero bravo e molto simpatico. Ci ha spiegato in modo semplice la storia dei luoghi che abbiamo visitato, aggiungendo qualche nota di colore e leggende napoletane che sono tanto piaciute anche a mio figlio. Un tour istruttivo e allo stesso tempo divertente! Consigliatissimo!!! Grazie! Ps Tommy saresti un ottimo attore di teatro!

Il tour è andato bene (domenica 25 maggio ore 12) l'accompagnatrice molto preparata oltre che simpatica. un suggerimento, dato che non potete "arredare" le cisterne perché hanno portato via tutto, fatevi regalare un manichino, vestitelo da Monaciello e appendetelo ad un pozzo per rendere più simpatica la storia. The tour went well (Sunday 25 May at 12) the guide was very knowledgeable as well as friendly. A suggestion, given that you cannot "decorate" the cisterns because they took everything away, ask for a mannequin, dress it as Monaciello and hang it on a well to make the story more fun.
