Pompeii + Amalfi Coast Excursion
Description
At the indicated time we'll collect you from your hotel in Naples and we'll start our bus journey to two of Campania's must-see locations, the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii!
First of all, we'll head for the archaeological site of Pompeii. During the journey, we'll see the magnificent Mount Vesuvius, a panorama that will accompany us throughout the trip and will help us to imagine the terror that this ancient Roman city experienced at the time of its devastating eruption.
Upon arrival, we'll skip the queues at the entrance and enter the ruins of Pompeii for a full guided tour. As we explore the city's roads, we'll learn all about life in Pompeii before it was completely covered in lava and ash on the 24th of August 79 AD.
We'll see places such as the forum, the lupanar, the House of the Vetti and the thermal baths, you'll be totally enchanted! After visiting Pompeii, we'll have an hour of free time to recharge your batteries by having lunch in a nearby restaurant.
With our appetites satiated, we'll continue our tour and head along the beautiful roads of the Amalfi Coast. Along this route, you'll see houses perched on cliffs bathed in turquoise waters and vibrant colours. You won't be able to stop taking pictures!
During the tour, we'll make a brief stop at a looking point in Positano. From the lookout point, we'll have an unforgettable view of this captivating town in the Gulf of Salerno.
Afterwards, we'll reach Amalfi, a World Heritage Site and one of the most important towns on the Amalfi Coast. Once there, we'll have free time to stroll through its lovely streets and discover its many charms.
Finally, we'll return to Naples after 8-9 hours.
