Tour of Mount Echia + Boat Ride & Aperitif
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll start out tour from Piazza Trieste e Trento, where you'll have the opportunity to learn about the history of the Royal Palace of Naples, which is tied to the rule of the Spanish viceroys first, and then the Austrians.
We'll continue our route toward the Piazza del Plebiscito, where you'll learn more facts about the city and the royal dinasties that ruled it. Then we'll reach the Lungomare, where the elevator will take us to Mount Echia is located.
Located in the area of Pizzofalcone, this hill houses the ruins of the Villa of Lucullus, a Roman Domus that has extended into the current Castel dell'Ovo. During the journey, we'll tell you about the objects that were found in this site and how they are preferved in various spots in the city.
After traveling back in time, we'll head to the pier of Lungomare, next to the Castel dell'Ovo. A traditional wooden boat will be waiting for us here, which we'll use to sail near the bastion.
From the boat, you'll have the chance to explore the fortress from the sea as you enjoy an aperitif featuring traditional products such as taralli, provolone cheese, and olives. This aperitif will be accompanied by wine, beer, or a beverage.
Finally, we'll head back to the pier where we departed from, concluding this tour after a total of 3 hours.
