Explore a true gem in Naples and one of the most admired sculptures in the world on this guided tour of Cappella Sansevero and the Veiled Christ. An unmissable landmark if you're in the city!

Tour Details

At the designated time, we'll meet at the Piazza San Domenico Maggiore, a few steps away from the Cappella Sansevero, a true marvel of Neapolitan Baroque that houses a work of extraordinary beauty: the Veiled Christ.

During the guided visit to the Cappella Sansevero, we'll focus on this astonishing piece, so realistic that it seems to have been sculpted by a supernatural hand. Did you know that Veiled Christ is one of the most renowned masterpieces of sculpture in the world? We'll learn about the history of Giuseppe Sanmartino, the creator, as well as his patron, Raimondo di Sangro.

Here, we'll also find other works like Modesty by Antonio Corradini and Il Disinganno by Francesco Queirolo, which make up a collection filled with symbolism. Among the other works, the mysterious Anatomical Machines stand out, 2 human skeletons which reveal a fascinating representation of the circulatory system created with precision by the doctor Giuseppe Salerno.

After a 35-minute visit, we'll conclude this activity outside the Cappella Sansevero.
