Naples National Archaeological Museum Private Tour
Naples National Archaeological Museum Private Tour
At 10 am, we'll meet outside the National Archaeological Museum, one of the most important in Naples. Accompanied by the guide, we'll enter this 16th-century building to start enjoying its extensive collection of artefacts.
For an hour and a half, we'll tour the various rooms of the museum, spread over four floors. We'll first visit the Farnese collection to see its many sculptures of the ancient Roman Empire, whose excellent state of conservation will surprise you! We'll talk about the beliefs of this civilization and we'll reveal many curious facts about the pieces of art that we'll see.
Afterwards, we'll enter the rooms dedicated to Pompeii and Herculaneum. Through a large collection of mosaics, papyrus and everyday utensils we'll discover how people lived in these cities before the great eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.
Vases, jewellery and other treasures from ancient Greece, coins and pieces from ancient Egypt will also be on display in the museum.
Having spent between 1 hour 30 minutes and 2 hours travelling through history and time, we'll say goodbye and end our guided tour. From that moment on you can stay in the museum and continue to tour its rooms freely.
