Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we'll depart from the Sihlquai coach park in Zurich heading towards the Bernese Alps. Along the way, we'll cross dreamlike landscapes, with green meadows, crystal-clear lakes and snow-capped peaks that will leave you speechless.
As we pass through Lucerne, we'll continue to Interlaken, a beautiful town named after the lakes that surround it, the Thun and Brienz. We'll explore the town for about 45 minutes, walking through its charming streets and contemplating its breathtaking views of the majestic Swiss Alps.
We'll continue our route to Grindelwald, known as “Glacier Village” for its spectacular mountain scenery. Here, you'll have approximately 3.5 hours of free time to enjoy its main attractions. We recommend taking the cable car that, after ascending to 2100 meters (6,889 ft) above sea level, reaches the viewpoint of Mount First. The views from this walkway are amazing! You can also choose to visit the Swiss handicraft stores and taste the local gastronomy to recharge your batteries.
Then, we'll head to Lauterbrunnen, a dreamlike valley famous for its impressive waterfalls. Here, we'll give you a brief introduction, and then you can explore the town on your own. Don't miss the spectacular Staubbach waterfall, which drops from a height of 300 meters (984 ft)—a real natural spectacle!
Finally, we'll reconvene in the center of Lauterbrunnen to return to Zurich and say goodbye at the meeting point after 12 hours of hiking.
