Tour Zurich's city center by bus and foot and follow it up with a boat ride on Lake Zurichsee! Wrap up the day with a sweet visit to the Lindt Museum.
What to Expect
We'll meet in front of the Sihlquai Bus Station at the indicated time for our tour of Zurich.
First up, we'll enjoy a panoramic route through the city center. From the bus, we'll be able to glimpse historic monuments and standout buildings like the National Museum and the luxury brand shopping street Bahnhofstrasse for example. We'll also drive by the financial district and the Opera Theater before stopping at Enge Port to capture beautiful pictures of Lake Zurichsee.
Next, we'll hit the pavement to get a closer look at Zurich's historic center. As we stroll along, we'll admire the exteriors of several key monuments, such as the City Hall building and the famous Grossmünster, Fraumünster, and Peterskirche Churches. The latter of these is also home to Europe's largest clock face!
We'll finish our walking tour of Zurich as we come to the Limmat River, where we'll board a boat and sail along Lake Zurichsee. Following a 30-minute boat ride, we'll disembark back at the port and just a short 15 minutes away is our last stop of the day, the Lindt Home of Chocolate Museum.
As soon as we enter the interactive museum, we'll be welcomed by the world's tallest chocolate fountain. From here, you'll be free to roam the exhibits at your own pace while enjoying audioguide commentary that narrates the story of the cacao bean. Of course, no visit to the Lindt Home of Chocolate Museum would be complete without a chocolate tasting! We'll indulge in the sweet flavors and then visit the world's largest Lindt shop to pickup an even sweeter souvenir.
Then, after 5 hours and 15 minutes of touring Zurich, we'll end the activity in front of Zurich station. Here, we'll give you your 24-hour train tickets for Zurich's subways. With this ticket, you can return to the city center in no time.
