Tour Details
Day 1
Welcome to Zhangjiajie! We'll pick you up from the airport or the train station once you arrive and, from here, we'll take you to the hotel you'll spend the first night in. After checking in, you'll have the rest of the day free to rest before beginning this immersive experience in this city-prefecture in the Hunan Province. See you tomorrow!
Day 2
On our second day, we'll enjoy a tasty breakfast in the hotel and set off towards one of the greatest natural gems in China: the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Have you watched the famous movie Avatar? In that case, we're sure that you'll recognise the floating mountains of Pandora, whose inspiration came from this green area spanning 400 kilometres (248 miles) declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Once here, we'll hop onto the Bailong Elevator, which will take us to the viewpoint on the Yuanjiajie Mountain, also known as the “Avatar's Hallelujah Mountain”, in the northeast of the park. This open-aired elevator is the tallest in the world, stretching 326 metres (1069 feet) high. So impressive!
As we admire the landscapes that inspired James Cameron's award-winning movie, we'll stop to rest and enjoy a delicious lunch made up of a dish of Chinese cuisine. An hour later, having re-energised, we'll hop onto a bus to make our way to Helong Park.
We'll continue exploring this natural gem from some of its 80 viewpoints, with views of giant rugged rocks that emerge from the depths of canyons. At the end of this route, after approximately 8 hours, we'll hop onto the Tianzi Mountain cable car to travel down the mountain.
Lastly, we'll take you back to the accommodation.
Day 3
After having breakfast in the hotel, we'll venture into the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park once again. This time, we'll get to know some of its other unmissable areas. Let's go!
We'll get onto a cable car which will take us to Yellowstone Village, where we'll go on a guided tour. This impressive place is made up of a group of houses perched atop sandstone pillars dotted around the park. We promise that your keepsake photos of this place will be spectacular!
Afterwards, we'll have a 1-hour stop to grab some lunch, and after re-energising, we'll follow a hiking trail along the Golden Whip Stream. On our 7.5-kilometre (4.6-mile) trek, we'll head into a gorge with towering sandstone walls, having to cross the river from one side to the other from time to time. Additionally, if we're lucky, we might encounter a monkey or two who lives in this area of the park.
At the end of the route, we'll take you to the airport or the Zhangjiajie train station, where we'll say our goodbyes around 5 pm. Until next time!

This tour includes 2 nights of accommodation with breakfast in a double room in one of the following 3-star hotels: Zhangjiajie International, Zhuanjiacun Hotel, or similar.
Please note that the reduced prices for children can be enjoyed as long as children do not occupy an individual room and instead share with their parents or guardians. If you prefer for the children to have their own bed, you will need to pay the adult rate.
