Stone Town Food Tour
Stone Town Food Tour
At 6 pm we'll meet next to the Old Fort of Zanzibar and start exploring Stone Town, the oldest and most charming part of Zanzibar City. Are you ready to delve into the delicious cuisine of this Tanzanian island?
We'll first head to Darajani Market, where the locals come daily to shop for their meals. We'll experience firsthand the hustle and bustle of this vibrant bazaar as we browse the products offered here.
Afterwards, we'll head over to a restaurant where we'll relax and admire a spectacular sunset while enjoying a soft drink or local beer, whichever you prefer.
As night falls over Zanzibar, we'll continue our tour through the streets of Stone Town and find out why this area has been declared a World Heritage Site. Did you know that it's one of the best preserved Swahili trading towns in West Africa?
The route will lead us to Forodhani Park, which is home to a popular street food market. By now you'll have built up an appetite, so it's time to indulge in a delicious homemade soup and shawarma. Sugarcane juice, spiced tea, or coffee are also included, what more could you ask for?
We'll finish the Stone Town food tour at 9 pm back at the starting point.
