Plitvice Lakes Day Trip
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the famous Meteorological Post in Zagreb's Park Zrinjevac. From there, we'll head through the verdant Croatian countryside in the direction of the Plitvice Lakes National Park.
Along the route, we'll make a stop in Rastoke, a picturesque settlement that is known for its quaint water mills. Its name roughly translates as "the branching of rivers," and it's located where the Slunjčica River splits and forms the Korana River. You'll have free time here to stretch your legs and wander around the pretty village, taking photos of the historic buildings.
We'll then hop back on the bus and soon arrive at the majestic Plitvice Lakes. There, we'll go on a 3 to 4-hour tour to check out the 16 lakes in the area. The imposing mountains that frame these landscapes will captivate you forever! You're sure to also be amazed by the change in color of the incredible lakes, which take on stunning hues of blue and green as the day progresses.
During the tour, we'll also do a little hiking along the wooden walkways, immersing us completely in the fabulous lush forest. After the tour of the lakes, you'll have about an hour free for lunch.
After lunch, we'll return to the Croatian capital, arriving at the meeting point in Zagreb 9 hours after pickup.
