Day Trip to Ljubljana and Bled
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at your chosen meeting point in Zagreb. After about two hours, we'll cross the border and arrive in the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana.
Once in Ljubljana, accompanied by our English-speaking guide, we'll visit the historic centre and some of its most iconic landmarks: the Dragon Bridge, the old town, the Central Market and Ljubljana Castle, from where we'll enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the city and the Slovenian landscape.
Before heading to our next destination, we'll stop to enjoy the delicious Slovenian cuisine in a traditional local restaurant (lunch not included).
After lunch, we'll get on the bus to go to the small town of Bled, one of the most beautiful and picturesque places in all of Slovenia.
After a short drive, we'll arrive at the shores of Lake Bled, where we'll get on a pletna, the traditional boat of the area, to approach the small island that lies within it: Bled Island. There, together with our guide, we'll discover the Church of Mary the Queen, a baroque structure with a bell tower over 50 metres (165 feet) high.
Finally, we'll return to the shores of Lake Bled to visit the Bled Castle before heading back to Zagreb.
