At the indicated time, we'll meet at Ban Jelačić Square and start this food tour of Zagreb. Are you ready to sample the most exquisite dishes of Croatian cuisine?
We'll walk into the historic center of Zagreb and stop at five different restaurants offering from the most traditional to the most avant-garde recipes. Also, during the walk, we'll tell you interesting facts and customs related to the local cuisine.
Next, we'll arrive at Dolac Market, the largest and most popular market in the city. There, beyond seeing its great variety of fruit, vegetables, meat, and bread, we'll sample the most typical Croatian delicacies. In one of the stalls, we'll try the burek, a kind of pie stuffed with meat.
To top it off, you'll also be able to sample another of the most traditional dishes in the area - the ćevapćićići, a mouth-watering grilled minced meat sausage with crusty bread.
And, of course, a food tour of Zagreb must include a tasting of the most famous dish in Zagreb: štrukli, a delicious cake with cottage cheese. To finish on a high note, we'll have some chocolate sweets - people with a sweet tooth won't be able to resist!
After a total of 3 hours, we'll end the food tour back at the starting point.
