At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and bring you to discover the history, culture and heritage of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Let's go!
We'll make a first stop to discover some cave paintings. You'll be amazed by the antiquity and mystery surrounding these impressive remains! From here, we'll start a walk downhill to the Yucay viewpoint, from where we'll enjoy spectacular views of the village.
We'll continue on to visit a family farm, where we'll learn how to make uchucuta, a traditional chilli sauce that accompanies many dishes in the region. After this experience, it will be time to savour a delicious Andean lunch, which includes roasted guinea pig, quinoa and a refreshing drink of chicha morada.
Feeling refuelled, we'll walk along the Inca terraces of Yucay, which are still used for agriculture today. Then, we'll go to the Portada del Sol, a magical place where we'll participate in a traditional ceremony of payment to the earth with a shaman. It will be a unique experience!
Next, we'll head down the terraces until we reach the Palace of Sayri Tupac, where you'll learn about the history of the Incas and their influence on the area. You'll also have a few minutes free to go shopping in Yucay and pick up a souvenir.
We'll finish the day with a visit to the Yucay Museum, where we'll learn more about the local textiles, pottery and gold and silver work.
Finally, we'll return to your hotel and say goodbye after a total of 4 hours of sightseeing.
