York Pass
The most popular attractions included on York's sightseeing pass are:
- York Minster
- York Dungeon
- Jorvik Viking Centre
- York Cruise
- York Sightseeing Tourist Bus (doesn't operate in December, January and February)
- Barley Hall
- Clifford's Tower
- Merchant Adventurers' Hall
- York Army Museum
- Roman Bath Museum
While entrance to these attractions already more than makes up for the price of the York Pass, the sightseeing card also offers free access to York Mansion House, Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience, or Fairfax House. You'll also get great discounts on selected shops and restaurants. But please note that pre-booking is required for some of the included attractions.
How does it work?
Your York Pass will be valid from the time that you first use it in an attraction. From that moment, it'll be valid for the amount of selected time (1, 2, or 3 days). The first day will end at 11:59 pm regardless of the time that you first used it.
The passes must be used on consecutive days.
The York Pass permits one-time free access to each attraction.
Collecting your York Pass
Collect your York Pass from the Visit York Information Centre, located at 1 Museum Street, York. The office is open daily between 9 am and 5 pm, except Sundays, when it opens between 10 am and 4 pm.
While you'll have to select a specific date when you make your purchase, you'll be able to collect your York Pass on any day. Equally, the York Pass is valid from the time of first use, not from the day of collection.
Children under 5 years old
Children's York Passes are for children between 5 and 16 years old. The majority of attractions offer free entry to children under 5 years old. We recommend consulting the attractions' websites before visiting for more information.
