Description
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your Yogyakarta hotel and begin our journey to the Pawon and Mendut temples. Although small in size, these temples hold great cultural and architectural significance in Indonesia.
Next, we'll venture to the iconic Borobudur temple, renowned for its breathtaking sunrise and sunset views. As the largest Buddhist temple in the world, its towering spires offer a magnificent backdrop to its serene surroundings.
Returning to Yogyakarta, we'll explore the city center, where you'll witness the grandeur of the Sultan's Palace. This historic residence, once home to the Indonesian court, still showcases remnants of its ancient walls. Our visit will also include a stop at the renowned Water Castle, an abandoned recreational garden with a fascinating past.
Following the tour, you'll have free time for lunch. In the afternoon, we'll continue our journey to the Prambanan temple, an enchanting site that houses the largest Hindu monument in Indonesia. Constructed in the ninth century using volcanic stone, this temple is shrouded in intriguing legends and mysteries.
Our comprehensive tour will conclude with our return to your Yogyakarta hotel, approximately 10.5 hours after the initial pickup.
