Yellowknife Tour
Yellowknife Tour
After picking you up from your hotel in Yellowknife at 10 am, we will set off on our fantastic panoramic bus tour of this captivating city. Our first stop is the wonderful Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly which dates back to 1870. Inside the chamber, we will see the seats of the deputies and discover how this regional parliament works.
Nearby is the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Center where you will learn all about the local flora and fauna as well as the history and culture of the region's settlers. We then continue our tour by visiting the Diamond Center of Yellowknife, where you will discover how these precious gems are mined, cut, and polished, in this part of Canada.
We then drive along the so-called Ice Road, all the way the fabulous Snow Castle where you can take a souvenir picture next to this icy monument before it melts! Then we'll go to the Bush Pilots Monument, where, besides learning about the origins of this memorial, you can enjoy the fantastic views across the city.
Our last stop is at the Gallery of the Midnight Sun arts center, where you will get to know even more amazing aspects of the local culture.
Finally, at 1 p.m. we'll drop you back off at your hotel in Yellowknife.
