Tour Details

We'll begin our adventure by picking you up from your hotel in Yazd at the indicated time. What attractions await us on this private tour of this historic Iranian city?

The first place we'll visit is the Jameh Mosque of Yazd, a 12th-century monument with the tallest minarets in Iran, decorated with deep blue tiles and kufic script. Moreover, you'll see that this mosque is not only an architectural marvel, but also the gateway to the spiritual soul of the city.

Next, we'll visit the Amir Chakhmaq Complex, with its iconic three-story façade adorned with arched niches. Did you know that it was once the epicentre of public ceremonies? Today, it's surrounded by a bazaar, filled with handicrafts, carpets and traditional delicacies.

Afterwards, we'll head into the historic centre of Yazd, where it will feel like time has stood still. We'll walk along narrow passages between adobe houses, many of them equipped with the iconic windcatchers. Do you know what they are? This ingenious Persian architectural solution is used to cool homes in the middle of the desert—we'll tell you all about them!

The route will continue to the Fire Temple of Yazd, a sacred space where an eternal flame has burned for more than 1500 years. This Zoroastrian sanctuary is key to understanding one of the oldest religions in the world. There, we'll talk about the rituals and beliefs that are still part of the city.

Later, we'll visit the interesting Water Museum, which reveals the secrets of the qanat, an ancient underground system of canals that allowed Yazd to thrive in one of the most arid environments on the planet. To close the day, we'll head to one of Yazd's most awe-inspiring sites, the Tower of Silence, an ancient Zoroastrian cemetery.

Finally, we'll finish this 8-hour private tour back at your hotel.
