Bright and early at 6:30 am on the day of your tour, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Yangon and set off on our journey by minibus to eastern Myanmar.
After a three and a half hour drive, we'll arrive at our destination: the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda. This sacred place, a pagoda balanced atop a gold-leaf-covered boulder, is considered one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the country as the Golden Rock is said to be perched on a strand of the Buddha's hair.
We'll take a cable car to the top of the peak to get a closer look at the impressive temple known as Golden Rock. Watch as Buddhist devotees pray at the foot of the rock as you take in the enticing incense fragrance and bright colours of the floral offerings.
You'll have free time to explore Kyaiktiyo Pagoda and eat in its surroundings, before we meet back up for the return journey to Yangon. You'll be dropped back off at your hotel around 7 pm.
