Description
At the designated time, we'll collect you from your Xian hotel and set off eastbound. After roughly an hour's drive, we'll reach our first destination: the Terracotta Warriors.
Here, we'll delve into this archaeological marvel and uncover the story of its remarkable discovery. These famous figures were unearthed in 1974 and are now a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Would you believe there are more than 7500 individual pieces?
During our guided tour of the Terracotta Warriors, lasting between 2.5 to 3 hours, we'll witness the diverse soldiers, chariots, horses, and clay armor constructed to keep the emperor safe. We'll delve into the history of this ruler and unveil some of the site's intriguing secrets.
Next, we'll return to Xian's city center for a delightful traditional Chinese lunch at a local restaurant, featuring a variety of regional specialties that provide a perfect taste of local cuisine.
Following this revitalizing meal, we'll venture to the cave houses in Panggou village. These houses were characteristic dwellings in the northern Shaanxi region. We'll embark on a brief half-hour tour to gain insights into the daily life of ancient inhabitants.
Once our visit concludes, we'll make our way back to Xian, where we'll arrive around 6 hours after our initial pickup.
