Why Visit Windsor Castle?
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrated their wedding in this spectacular castle, occupying the front pages of newspapers from around the globe. Thousands of tourists flocked to Windsor to visit the location of the last royal wedding, but the truth is that the castle conceals a lot more…
We recommend beginning your tour of the Queen’s favourite weekend home by exploring The Savill and Valley Gardens, each with its distinctive feel. With the Thames flowing nearby and over 1000 acres, this is a natural haven packed with flowers and trees. If you look hard enough, you might even see deer!
Once inside the castle, the State Apartments will amaze you. With intricate paintings covering the ceilings, you will head to Queen’s Mary Dolls’ House (currently closed to visitors).
Depending on the day of the visit, we'll watch the Change of Guard at St. George’s Chapel and explore its interior. Its Gothic architecture differentiates it tremendously from other traditional chapels. Take a peek at its high ceilings and flags and you’ll instantly be transported to the period of Henry VIII.
