Willemstad Guided Tour
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the bus stop in front of Fuerte Rif to set off on our guided tour of Willemstad. Let's explore the sights of Curaçao's capital!
To do so, we'll start walking through the streets until we reach the Kura Botanica Hotel, where we'll make our first stop. We'll admire the facade of this emblematic lodging that has a long history to tell. Afterwards, we'll cross the iconic Queen Emma Bridge and admire wonderful views of the coastline!
Our guided tour of Willemstad will then take us to the historic downtown district, where we'll pass by Fort Amsterdam, built in 1635. Today, it's used as the Governor's Palace. It also has a Protestant church located at the back of its courtyard.
Next, we'll continue at the old floating market where goods from Venezuela used to be sold. Today, local farmers and fishermen sell fresh products and handicrafts here. We'll also see the oldest active synagogue in the western hemisphere.
After 2.5 hours of sightseeing, we'll end our guided tour of Willemstad by saying our goodbyes in its historic district.
