If you find yourself in Wellington, you can't miss booking one of these bike tours. Discover what makes this amazing city such a vibrant and beloved place as we pass by amazing spots in New Zealand's capital.

Tour Options

When making your booking, you'll be able to book from the following two options for your bike tour around Wellington. Both routes start at Queen's Wharf, Wellington Waterfront at the indicated time.

You can see the details of each tour below.

Intro to Wellington

Ready to discover Wellington's captivating waterfront and city center by bike? Let's go!

With our knowledgeable guide leading the way, this tour will begin along the picturesque waterfront, where we'll soak the beautiful views of Wellington Harbour. The waterfront is a bustling hub of activity, featuring a mix of historic buildings, modern architecture and public art installations that reflect the city's creative spirit.

Next, this tour will take us to Wellington's most notable landmarks, including the renowned Te Papa Museum. Known as the Museum of New Zealand. Nearby lies the New Zealand Parliament, where you can marvel at the distinctive Beehive building.

We'll then continue along Wellington's dramatic coastline which offers the perfect contrast to the concrete jungle of Wellignton's city centre urban landscape. The guide will share some very interesting local secrets and anecdotes that will highlight the city's unique outdoor lifestyle and the community's deep connection to nature. Of course, throughout this tour, you'll have plenty of opportunities to take photos.

Finally, after between 2 and 2.5 hours, we'll bring this tour to an end.

Schedules: from Tuesday to Sunday at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm

Electric Bays Tour

Just like the aforementioned option, the Electric Bays Tour will also begin from the Queen's Wharf at the scheduled time. However, what makes this option unique is that it will focus on the beautiful bays along Wellignton's rugged coastline.

From Wellington's Waterfront, we'll begin cycling on nicely paved paths near the hustle and bustle of the vibrant city centre. Just like the first option, we'll pass by the same well-known spots such as Te Papa, the Museum of New Zealand. We'll also pass by the Oriental Bay.

As we continue cruising around the bays using the dedicated on-road cycleway, we'll be treated to some of the most amazing viewpoints along the route. One of the highlights of this option will be the stop at Wellington's 'wind needle', an impressive sculpture that stands as a testament to the city's famously breezy conditions. Afterwards, we'll make our way towards the 'Wellington' hillside sing. Time for more photos!

We'll then take a break at a nearby café with some more coastal views. Once we've recharged, we'll be ready for the next leg of the adventure, we'll set our bikes to the 'turbo' setting and head to the spectacular viewpoint where we'll have more panoramic views of the city and its surrounding bays.

After between 3 and 4 hours, this exciting tour will come to an end.

Schedules: from Tuesday to Sunday at 10 am and 2 pm
