The Abraham Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. is one of the city's most renowned landmarks for its architectural might as well as its historical significance.

History

Inaugurated in 1922, this monument commemorates the 16th president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln, known for his leadership during the Civil War and the abolition of slavery.

How to visit the Lincoln Memorial?

Located at the west end of the National Mall, the Abraham Lincoln Memorial can be reached on foot, by public transport and aboard the Washington D.C. tour bus.
