Welcome to the capital of the USA! At the indicated time, we'll start this free tour of Wahington DC at the World War II Memorial, a spectacular monument located in the park on the National Mall.
After learning about the history of this place, we'll take a stroll along The Pool. At the end of this man-made pool, shaped like a swimming pool, is the iconic Abraham Lincoln Memorial. Did you know that this is one of the most photographed spots in the city?
Then, we'll head to the shores of the Tidal Basin. On the banks of this artificial lake, we'll see the monuments dedicated to Martin Luther King and Thomas Jefferson. As we stroll through this area of the capital, we'll spot Washington's famous cherry trees.
Our next stop is the George Washington Monument, a 169-metre (555-foot) obelisk dedicated to the first president of the United States. Once we've discussed its history, we'll walk around the different museums on the National Mall. At the end of this park, we'll see the impressive Capitol in the distance.
