Discover the history of the US capital and see the city's most emblematic places of interest on this bike tour of Washington DC.
Tour Options
During the booking process, you can choose between two tour options. Both start at 701 D Street, last 3 hours, and include bike and helmet rental, and a guide.
Day Tour
At the indicated time, we'll meet at 701 D Street. There, we'll hand out your bikes and helmets and, without wasting any time, we'll start this very special tour of Washington. You'll get to know the city in a comfortable and fun way!
On the bikes, we'll pedal along one of the most popular streets in the federal capital of the United States: Pennsylvania Avenue, where we'll see the unmistakable silhouette of the White House.
Following the long boulevard, we'll reach the Capitol building. In the vicinity of the Capitol, you'll discover why it's often said that Washington is a city of spies. How true are the novels and films about the American intelligence services?
Opposite the Capitol is the esplanade of the National Mall. We'll take a ride on our bicycles to admire the great buildings of this imposing public space: the Smithsonian Castle and the monuments dedicated to George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Do you know what important events took place under the presidency of these two political leaders?
Before returning to the starting point, we'll remember some of the most tragic wartime episodes of the 20th century by visiting the open-air memorials dedicated to the fallen in the Korean and Vietnam wars.
Finally, we'll cycle back to the starting point, where the tour will end after 3 hours.
Night Tour
If you love to see the big cities light up as the sun sets, this is the ideal option for you. We'll follow the same route described in the previous section as the sun begins to set. We'll explore the iconic monuments and buildings of the capital city against the perfect backdrop of Washington D.C.'s spectacular city skyline as it lights up at night. Cameras, ready in night mode!
