Majdanek Concentration Camp & Lublin Private Tour
At the time indicated, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Warsaw and head to Lublin. Once there, we'll make our way to the Majdanek concentration camp.
Entering this virtually untouched historical site, we'll learn more about a time when barbarism ravaged Europe. This compound was ordered to be built by an officer named Himler to house Polish prisoners of war and, after a while, it became an extermination camp. We'll tour this sinister place to see the crematorium ovens, the gas chambers and the mausoleum where the ashes of the victims are kept.
We'll then drive to the historic center of Lublin, where you'll have an hour of free time for lunch. Afterward, we'll stroll through the old town while we learn what happened to the old Yeshiva study center and admire the pre-war Jewish vestiges. We'll learn all kinds of interesting facts about the Talmud and the Hebrew-speaking world.
Next, we head to Lublin Castle, a medieval stronghold dating back to the 12th century. We'll climb its tower to admire the amazing views of the city and, later, we'll enter the Chapel of the Holy Trinity, the jewel of the bastion that preserves frescoes by the master artist Andrej Ruthenian.
After leaving the fortress, we'll head back to Warsaw. We'll arrive back at your hotel after a total of 10 hours.
