Who has planned a trip to Poland without thinking about going to Auschwitz-Birkenau? With this tour, you'll cross the fences of the most famous concentration camp in the world and learn about its history.
Auschwitz-Birkenau Private Day Trip
After picking you up from your hotel in Warsaw, we'll set off southwards in a private vehicle. After a four hour drive we'll arrive at the Polish town of Oświęcim, where the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp was located and where over a million people were murdered by the Nazi regime.
Once we enter, we'll have a guided tour of the most striking points of the Auschwitz site. First, we'll enter the prison blocks, where, through their exhibitions, we'll be able to get a first impression of the horrors that these walls witnessed.
We'll then make one of the essential and most terrifying stops on this tour: the gas chambers and cremation ovens, which are the only ones that were preserved after the end of World War 2.
The second part of this tour will take us to Birkenau, also known as Auschwitz II, built as an extermination camp, where the barracks, the latrines, the cremation ovens, and the chambers that the Nazis destroyed before their escape in 1945 were located.
We'll also get one of the most famous images of the place: the train tracks where the trains arrived with the prisoners, who could never imagine what their cruel fate would be.
At the end of the visit, you'll have free time for lunch. With our betteries recharged, we'll return to Warsaw and take you back to your hotel.
