Viñales Valley Bike Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up at Calle Orlando Nodarse, where after a brief introduction we'll give you the bicycles. Ready for an exciting adventure through this Cuban valley?
The first stop on our route will be the Mirador de los Jazmines, a lookout point where we'll get spectacular views over the Viñales Valley.
Then, we'll pedal on to the Cueva del Indio, a cave that was historically inhabited by Indigenous Peoples. There we'll go on a short walk inside the grotto, observing different formations of stalactites and stalagmites. We'll also take a boat ride on the underground river that crosses the cave.
Our bike tour will then take us to a tobacco farm to learn all about the fermentation and selection of the leaves that are used to make Habanos, the most prestigious cigars in the world!
We'll continue the bike tour by visiting a local tobacco farm to learn all about how they grow the best tobacco in the world, and how they make handmade cigars. Did you know that these cigars are the most prestigious cigars in the world? After learning all about the life of the farmers who work on the farm, we'll go to the despalillo, a small factory where they ferment, select, and classify the tobacco leaves that are used to make the famous Habanos.
Before ending the tour, we'll also visit the Mural of Prehistory, to learn more about life in ancient times in the region of Viñales while sipping on a delicious piña colada.
The bike tour will finish after four hours, dropping you off back at the starting point.
