Vilnius Free Tour
At the time of your choice we'll meet at the statue of the Grand Duke Gediminas to start exploring the historical centre of Vilnius.
The first monument we'll see will be Vilnius Cathedral, the main Catholic temple of the country. Did you know that it is protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site? We'll continue our walk until we reach the Presidential Palace of Lithuania, which dates back to the 14th century. The University of Vilnius, the Jewish Quarter and the Town Hall are waiting for us there.
The free tour will take us to the Gate of Dawn, an important pilgrimage site full of symbolism. We'll hear about the many mythical tales told about this place.
We'll leave behind the old town of Vilnius and enter the Uzupis district, famous for its bohemian and alternative atmosphere. Colourful murals, lively cafes, art galleries... This is what this popular district is all about.
While walking through the streets of Uzupis we'll also come across the church of St. Anne, a Gothic temple that made Napoleon himself fall in love. Make sure to take some photos!
After this two and a half hour tour, we'll finish the near St. Anne's church.
