Baltics 8-Day Tour Package

Day 1: Vilnius

After checking in at the hotel in Vilnius, there will be a welcome meeting, after which you'll have the remainder of the day to relax or explore on your own.

Day 2: Vilnius

We'll start the day with breakfast at the hotel. Then, we'll set off on a morning sightseeing tour of the capital of Lithuania, known for its incredibly rich medieval heritage. On a walk through the city's Old Town, we'll see emblematic sites including the Vilnius CathedralGediminas Tower, the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, St. Anne’s Church, Vilnius University and the Gates of Dawn. The historic center of this city is actually one of the largest surviving medieval old towns in Northern Europe!

In the afternoon, you can continue exploring on your own, or go on an optional excursion to Trakai, a historic city and the medieval capital of Lithuania where you can see the famous Trakai Island Castle. In the evening, there is also an optional folklore dinner at Restaurant Belmontas. We'll spend the night at the hotel in Vilnius.

Day 3: Vilnius - Riga

Following breakfast at the hotel, we'll set off by coach in the direction of Latvia. On the way, we'll make a stop at the Hill of Crosses, a Christian pilgrimage site in northern Lithuania that features over 100,000 crosses. Once we cross the border into Latvia, we'll visit the famous Rundāle Palace, where we'll go on a guided tour.

Following a route through the rolling hills of southern Latvia, we'll arrive in Riga in the late afternoon, where we'll head to the hotel to rest for the remainder of the day.

Day 4: Riga

After fueling up for the day at the hotel, we'll start with a walking tour of Riga, full of history and an array of architectural styles. On a route through the historic center of the city, we'll see important monuments such as its 14th-century castle, the cathedral, the Swedish Gate, the Three Brothers museum, and more.

In the afternoon, you can go on an optional visit to the resort town of Jūrmala, and in the evening, you can attend an optional organ concert at the Dome Cathedral, before returning to the hotel for the night. 

Day 5: Riga

Following breakfast at the hotel, you'll have the day free to relax or explore at your leisure. If you want, you can go on an optional morning tour of Gauja National Park and the town of Sigulda, where you can see the medieval Castle of the Knights of the Sword, among other points of interest. There is also an optional tour in the afternoon to the Riga Motor Museum, home to an extensive collection of vintage cars.

If you want, in the evening, you can also go to Restaurant Three for an optional Latvian dinner.

Day 6: Riga - Tallinn

We'll have breakfast at the hotel in Riga and then hit the road along the coast to Pärnu, a popular summer resort in Estonia. After a brief tour of the area, we'll head north through the forestland to the capital city of Tallinn, where we'll arrive in the early afternoon.

After checking in at the hotel, you'll have the rest of the day free.

Day 7: Tallinn

Breakfast at the hotel will prepare us for a sightseeing tour of Tallinn, the main financial, industrial and cultural hub of Estonia. During the tour, we'll see the city's medieval walls and explore its historic center, where we can check out monuments like Toompea Castle, the Dome Church, the Russian Revival-style Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Old Town Hall and the Great Guild Hall.

You'll have the afternoon free, or you can go on an optional excursion to the sprawling Kadriorg Park and visit the Kumu Art Museum, one of the largest art museums in Northern Europe. In the evening, you can also opt for a medieval dinner at Restaurant Maikrahv, before turning in for the night.

Day 8: Tallinn

We'll have breakfast at the hotel, after which our 8-day Baltic circuit will conclude. If you have booked the optional transfer, we'll take you to the airport for your return flight from Tallinn.

Accommodation

This tour includes seven nights' accommodation in double rooms. You can, however, pay a supplement if you prefer to stay in a single room. There is also a 'Superior Room' option, which will incur a supplement of 130 (US$ 136.32).

We'll stay in the following centrally located four-star hotels:

  • Vilnius: Radisson Blu Hotel Lietuva or similar
  • Riga: Radisson Blu Latvija Hotel or similar
  • Tallinn: Radisson Blu Hotel Olümpia or similar

Meals

Breakfast is included for seven days at the hotel. If you prefer, you can also choose the half-board option during the booking process, which includes both breakfast and dinner for seven days.

Pickup option

Pickup is not included in the price of the tour. If you'd like to be picked up from the airport in Vilnius on the first day and transferred to the hotel, the cost is 35 (US$ 36.70) for a private car (1-3 people) and 55 (US$ 57.67) for a private minivan (4-7 people). Airport transfers are also available from the hotel to the airport in Tallinn at the end of the 8-day tour, for the same price.
