This ticket will allow you entry to the Fort of Saint-André and you'll have the opportunity to visit one of the most impressive medieval fortresses in Provence.
Fort Saint-André Ticket
Located in the town of Villeneuve-lès-Avignon, in the heart of Provence, the Saint-André fortress is an essential monument to understand the French military architecture of the 14th century.
The fortress was commissioned by the French King Philip IV "the Fair" to consolidate his power. The location of the bastion was not accidental either, as the entire walled enclosure is located on a strategic promontory on the banks of the Rhône.
From the battlements and machicolations of the fort of Saint-André, you'll also have a magnificent view of Avignon, the ancient city of the Popes.
While strolling around the fort of Saint-André, if the day is clear, you'll be able to admire natural areas in the south of France such as the Alpilles and Luberon massifs and the iconic Mont Ventoux.
