Caracas, Pelton & Santuario Waterfalls Tour
Caracas, Pelton & Santuario Waterfalls Tour
At 7 am we'll pick you up at your hotel in Villavicencio, and from there we'll drive in a 4x4 vehicle to Mesetas. This village, located in the Colombian department of Meta, is famous for a spectacular set of waterfalls called the Paradise of Waterfalls.
We'll stop in the sector Argentina, one of the areas where the waterfalls are located. There we'll get our strength back with a delicious breakfast that includes different local products. After this snack, we'll take a walk through the Cascades Paradise or Paradise of the Waterfalls to have a close look at the Caracas, Pelton and Santuario waterfalls.
As we'll see, these torrents plunge from a height of between 40 and 80 metres (131 and 262 feet), flowing into a beautiful landscape that will captivate you. However, the most interesting thing about these waterfalls is that, due to the armed conflict in Colombia, they remained hidden for decades in the middle of the jungle.
You can take a refreshing dip in the waterfalls, followed by a picnic break. After this picnic lunch, which consists of a selection of local foods, we'll walk to a lookout point. There we'll enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the Sierra de Macarena Natural Park, one of the most beautiful in the interior of Colombia.
Finally, we'll return by 4x4 to your hotel in Villavicencio, where we'll arrive at 5 pm.
