Pago de La Jaraba Estate Tour
Description
We'll meet at the indicated time at the main entrance of the Pago de La Jaraba estate to begin a guided tour of its facilities.
After an introduction about the origin and history of La Jaraba, we'll start the tour through the vineyards of this estate located on the outskirts of Villarrobledo. We'll also stop in front of a typical La Mancha mill and continue the tour in the olive grove.
Next, we'll go to the livestock area to see the Manchego sheep on the farm. This breed produces excellent milk that serves as raw material for elaborating different dairy products. We'll check it out by visiting the La Jaraba cheese factory to see how their Manchego cheeses are produced.
The next stop will be at the oil mill. Here, we'll observe the process of making olive oil, one of the symbols of Mediterranean gastronomy. After seeing how production is carried out, we'll go to the La Jaraba winery to learn all about the Pago wines. This Protected Designation of Origin stands out for its extraordinary quality.
Finally, after a tour of between 2.5 and 3 hours, we'll conclude the guided tour of the estate with a tasting of Manchego wines, cheeses, and oils.
