Our route continues as we admire the geological formation of El Flautista and take in the vista from the Geological Fault viewpoint. Finally, before returning to our starting point, we'll navigate the narrow passages of the renowned Gothic Labyrinth.
Talampaya Canyon (3 hours)
In this itinerary, we'll embark on an easy-paced 3-hour trek through the Talampaya Canyon, covering approximately 5 kilometers (3 miles) of this famous gorge. Along the way, we'll encounter the iconic sandstone walls of the canyon, celebrated for their vivid reddish hue.
Our initial stop will be at the petroglyphs area, offering a glimpse of the archaeological and paleontological remnants left behind by the region's early inhabitants.
The journey then takes us to the Awanda Cave, offering insights into the lives of our ancestors. Our final destination, the Talampaya Botanical Garden, introduces us to the prominent species of cacti, retamos, and carob trees flourishing in this region of Argentina.
Quebrada Don Eduardo + Talampaya Canyon (4 hours)
This likewise low-difficulty route is the ideal choice to experience the landscapes of both previous routes. Over the course of 4 hours, we'll revel in the prominent sites offered by these 2 routes while learning about the region's geological features, wildlife, and native plants.
Quebrada Don Eduardo + Talampaya Canyon + Gran Mirador (5.5 hours)
