Quebrada del Yeso Off-Roading Tour
Description
We'll begin by picking you up at your Villa Union hotel at the specified time. From there, we'll set off in a rugged 4x4 vehicle towards the Quebrada del Yeso, an area renowned for its challenging terrain in La Rioja.
This off-road adventure will lead us along the very roads that once witnessed multiple stages of the Dakar Rally when this renowned race was hosted in South America. The Argentinean segments of the race covered extensive regions across the province of La Rioja, offering a demanding course that tested the skills of the world's toughest rally drivers.
Throughout our journey in the Quebrada del Yeso, we'll traverse the Bermejo River and explore the foothills of La Rioja. Our route will include various stops, allowing you to soak in the mesmerizing landscapes and enjoy the lunch you bring with you.
As we traverse these vast terrains, you'll be treated to the characteristic reddish hills that define this area of Argentina, known as La Rioja for this very reason. Our path will also lead us through a 12-kilometer (7.5-mile) semi-desert passage that cuts through the Sierra de los Colorados, revealing the expanse of a dry riverbed.
Finally, after retracing the Dakar Rally's footsteps in the Quebrada del Yeso, we'll make our way back to Villa Union. Anticipate your return 11 hours after our initial pickup.
