Villa Rica Coffee Tour
Villa Rica Coffee Tour
At 9 am, we'll meet at Leopoldo Krausse Avenue to begin this tour of the coffee culture of Villa Rica. Did you know that this city is one of the main coffee producers in Peru?
The tour will start at the main square, where we'll tell you about the history and importance of coffee in Villa Rica. Afterwards, we'll go to a coffee plantation where we'll learn how this popular beverage is produced. We'll also enjoy a tasting of authentic Villa Rica coffee!
After the visit to the plantation, we'll take you to the Oconal Lagoon, a wetlands area of great biodiversity where you'll have free time to explore the surroundings. You can enjoy boat rides on the lagoon and learn about the lotus flower, an emblem of this natural area.
Following the break, we'll meet again to enjoy a typical lunch of smoked meat, accompanied by a natural fruit drink. Delicious!
With our strength restored, we'll continue the tour passing by the León Waterfall and the Cumbre viewpoint. We'll make a stop at the Los Ositos orchid farm to see its beautiful flowers, and we'll go to a coffee quality control laboratory.
We'll learn about the different varieties of coffee and what are the verification processes, and we'll have another coffee tasting! You'll feel like a real expert while testing the qualities of the coffee, its aroma, and its intense flavor.
Finally, we'll return to the starting point in Villa Rica, arriving there around 3 pm.
