Villa de Merlo Panoramic Tour
Villa de Merlo Panoramic Tour
After picking you up from your hotel in Villa de Merlo at 2:30 pm, we will start this panoramic tour on the centrally located Avenida del Sol, one of the main streets of the city! Many of the city's main shops and restaurants are located on this elegant long boulevard.
As we pass along the avenue, we will tell you some fascinating facts about this beautiful city in the Argentinean province of San Luis, which was founded in 1797. The route then continues through the charming neighborhoods of Rincón and Rincón del Este, situated at the foot of the surrounding mountains. In fact, these are the best districts to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Mogote Bayo Provincial Natural Reserve.
The next stop will be at the vibrant Dos Venados Casino. We will stop at the square next to its main entrance so that you can photograph the iconic sundial which is colorful and huge in equal measures! Then we will go head to an idyllic, remote area known as Piedra Blanca. This is the birthplace of the writer Antonio Esteban Agüero, the province's most famous poet.
In Piedra Blanca, we will also see the most famous tree of Villa de Merlo: the "grandfather carob", estimated to be 1200 years old. Nowadays it is one of the botanical jewels of the province of San Luis, and reaches 45 foot high.
Finally, at 6:30 pm we will return to your hotel in Villa de Merlo where our adventure concludes.
