Tour to Alta Gracia, Villa General Belgrano, and La Cumbrecita
Tour to Alta Gracia, Villa General Belgrano, & La Cumbrecita
When you make your reservation, you can choose one of the following options. Both options include pickup at your hotel in Villa Carlos Paz at the indicated time, transportation, a guide, and return transfer.
Alta Gracia & Villa General Belgrano (6 hours)
We'll start this route by driving through the beautiful landscapes of the Sierras Chicas. In this area of the Argentine province of Córdoba, we'll stop at Los Molinos Lake and Alta Gracia.
In Alta Gracia, we'll see the famous Jesuit complex from outside and learn about the legacy of the Society of Jesus in this part of South America. Then, we'll continue our tour of Alta Gracia at the Che Museum. Here, we'll learn about the life of Ernesto Guevara, who is considered one of the great Argentinean characters of the 20th century.
Then, from Alta Gracia, we'll drive through the Calamuchita Valley to Villa General Belgrano. Upon arrival, you might think we're in Germany and not in Argentina! The architecture of this town is decorated in the Bavarian style because of the great influence of its former Central European settlers.
Finally, after walking through the typically German streets of Villa General Belgrano, we'll return to your hotel in Villa Carlos Paz.
Schedules: From January-February, the tour departs at 1:30 pm every day. During the rest of the year, the tour departs at 1:30 pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Alta Gracia, Villa General Belgrano, & La Cumbrecita (11 hours)
If you choose this option, we'll follow the same itinerary as the previous option. Then, after visiting Villa General Belgrano, we'll continue the tour through the Calamuchita Valley towards La Cumbrecita. The first eco-pedestrian village in Argentina, it's currently one of the great tourist attractions of the province of Córdoba!
We'll spend the rest of the day strolling through La Cumbrecita, where vehicles are permanently prohibited, and admiring this town's dedication to environmental protection.
Then, you'll have lunch on your own in La Cumbrecita, and after lunch, we'll finally return to your hotel in Villa Carlos Paz.
Schedules: From January-February, the tour departs at 8 am every day. During the rest of the year, the tour departs at 8 am on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
