On this boat trip on the Guadiana River, we'll sail along the Portuguese coast of Vila Real de Santo António and the Spanish coast of Ayamonte.
Description
At the indicated time we'll start this boat trip on the Guadiana from the Centro Náutico 818 in Vila Real de Santo António, on the Portuguese side of the river.
We'll begin by heading north, taking in the views of Vila Real de Santo António. From there, we'll continue our journey to the Spanish coastline of the Guadiana River, where the town of Ayamonte in Huelva is located.
The crossing on the Spanish side will continue next to the Canela neighbourhood, where we'll see its typical fishing boats. We'll also learn about some of the local seafaring customs as we sail.
Next, we'll head to the Castro Marim and Vila Real de Santo António Marsh Natural Reserve to try to spot native birds such as flamingos and herons, among many other species.
Finally, after an hour's crossing, we'll return to the departure dock.
