Let yourself be enchanted by Vigo's urban charm exploring its streets and visiting its most emblematic monuments on this free walking tour of the Galician city.

Free Walking Tour of Vigo

On the day of the free walking tour, we'll meet in Praza Porta do Sol, a square in the heart of Vigo, where you'll find the famous sculpture of "O Sireno", the symbol of the Galician city.

From there, we'll head towards one of the city's treasures, little known by tourists, where you'll be able to enjoy spectacular views of Vigo and its estuary.

We'll continue our free guided tour through the main streets and squares of the historic centre, where we'll learn about the history of the city and some of the famous figures who have made Vigo a tourist attraction.

Next, we'll head to the harbour and the landscaped avenues of the nautical area, where our guide will tell us all about the development of the city, its migratory history and the legends of sunken treasures that surround Vigo.

El tour estuvo muy bien, a pesar de que coincidió con la manifestación del 1 de Mayo y esto hizo que el guía tuviese que cambiar un poco el itinerario. El guía, fantástico, Omar Pérez. Amable, divertido, experimentado (a pesar de ser bastante joven). Se notaba que conoce bien Vigo y su historia, y que le gusta su trabajo. Creó en seguida muy buen ambiente en el grupo. The tour was very good, even though it coincided with the May Day demonstration, which meant the guide had to slightly alter the itinerary. The guide, Omar Pérez, was fantastic. Friendly, fun, and experienced (despite being quite young). It was clear he knows Vigo and its history well, and that he enjoys his job. He immediately created a great atmosphere in the group. We really enjoyed our walking tour with Omar Pérez through the streets and sights of Vigo. Omar provided us with many interesting insights and historical facts and even told us about historical links between Vigo and Australia, which we knew nothing about!
