    Vienna pass was literally our key to the city and gave loads of choices of places to visit. We picked a 3 day pass. In this time we used our pass on the sight seeing busses. We booked a tour for the State Opera house (you must book in advance!) we visited the State library, Danube tower, Mozart mythos. There was loads of choice: galleries, museums, tourist destinations. What was great was skipping to the front of queues and not having to pay on the day for tickets.

Schönbrunn Palace is located in Vienna and is one of the city's most iconic and visited sites. Today, the summer residence of the Habsburgs, the palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and attracts visitors from all over the world.

Princess Sissi's Castle

Schönbrunn Palace was built in the 17th century as a summer residence for Emperor Leopold I. The original design was conceived to rival the magnificence of Versailles.

It was extended over the years to become one of the largest palaces in Europe. One of the historical figures most closely associated with this place is Empress Sissi, who lived here for most of her life.

What to see at Schönbrunn Palace

Highlights include the sumptuous imperial rooms, such as the Great Gallery and the Chinese Salon. The gardens, with the majestic Gloriette, offer breathtaking panoramic views of Vienna.
