Schönbrunn Palace Christmas Concert
Every year from November 19 to January 4, the majestic Schönbrunn Palace hosts a Christmas concert and market that's an absolute must if you happen to be in Vienna during these dates!
The melodies of renowned artists such as Mozart and Strauss will be played in this distinguished atmosphere by the Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra, one of the most famous in the world. Vocal performances by members of the Schönbrunn Orangery will top off the show.
This magnificent concert will take place in the palace hall where the famous musical competition between Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Salieri occurred in 1786. The Orangery, which was the former Schoenbrunn Palace Greenhouse, will be the perfect setting to enjoy this magical event!
Categories
There are 3 types of tickets: A, B, and C. Category A are the seats closest to the stage and category C are the seats farthest from the stage. You can see the seating plan at this link. We recommend booking well ahead of time, especially if you want to get good seats. Please note that the seats are not numbered within each category, so we recommend arriving early.
Schönbrunn Christmas market
Your reservation will also come with tickets to redeem at the food stands at the Christmas market located in the parade courtyard of Schönbrunn Palace. The tickets include a drink and a dish of your choice.
The market is open at the following times:
- November 19 - December 23: 10 am - 9 pm
- December 24: 10 am - 4 pm
- December 25 - January 4: 10 am - 6 pm
Important Information
On selected dates, concerts will be held in the Large Gallery, the White-Gold Room directly in the Palace, in the Schönbrunn Palace Theatre, or other concert halls in Vienna.
