Schönbrunn Palace with Dinner & Concert

  • 214 reviews | 2,380 travellers
Great. It tells you which concert to go to and where to go. We also saw it almost alone (12 people). A person from Civitatis picked us up...gave us the vouchers...accompanied us on the visit to the palace...and took us to the restaurant for dinner. Beautiful tableware...silver cutlery... To put a but, the typical apple pie was cold and it is better warm with warm sauce.

Description

At the appointed time, head to the main entrance of Schönbrunn Palace. Ready to enter one of Vienna's most famous buildings?

For 45 minutes, you can explore the different rooms of the palace and discover many of its curiosities via the monument's official app on your mobile phone. It's said that Emperor Franz Josef I had a special love for this palace and its gardens, and Empress Maria Theresa would spend every summer here.

After touring the palace, you'll have a table reserved for you at a restaurant chosen especially for the occasion, an exclusive venue located next to the palace complex. There you'll be served a three-course dinner, and for dessert, you'll taste the apple strudel from the palace bakery.

After dinner, you'll be able to visit the Orangerie, where Mozart and Salieri once competed to prove to the court which of the two was the better composer. To top the experience, you'll then enjoy interpretations of the music of Mozart and Strauss by the Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra.

The concert lasts 1 hour and 45 minutes, with an intermission of 15 minutes. Please note that the program changes daily.

Ticket Categories

There are four types of tickets; VIP, A, B, and C, with the farthest tickets being the cheapest. The VIP tickets include access to the VIP lounge with a separate cloakroom, a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and a personalised programme. We recommend reserving your seats as early as possible, especially if you want to sit close to the stage.

Changes in the itinerary

On some occasions, the show is not held in the Orangerie but in the Grand Gallery of the palace, which in the time of the emperors, was the perfect setting for balls and ceremonies. The White and Golden Hall is another corner of the imperial building where concerts are held. In the latter, you'll enjoy a more intimate space.
