Classical Music Concert in the Kursalon
Concert
The concert is comprised of the most memorable works of the two Austrian composers par excellence - Johann Strauss and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The works are interpreted by the Alt Wien Salon Orchestra in the Lanner Hall.
Some of the pieces that you'll enjoy include the Blue Danube, The Emperor Waltz, A Night in Vienna, Concierto for Piano, Bandits' Gallop, and The Magic Flute.
To complete the evening, the concert will be accompanied by opera singers and ballet dancers.
Types of tickets
There are three kinds of tickets. Please consult the theatre plan by clicking here.
VIP tickets, as well as offering sets in the first line, include a glass of sparkling wine, a concert programme and a CD of Johann Strauss.
Dinner
You can complete the experience with dinner at the Kursalon before the concert. Depending on availability, the dinner will take place in the Johann restaurant of the Kursalon or at another nearby establishment.
In any case, you'll enjoy a Kaiserwalzer menu that includes a starter, main course and dessert with two options for each course, which vary by season. Please indicate when booking if you prefer a vegetarian option. In summer, if you select the 6 pm concert, dinner will be served at the end of the concert.
Viena Kursalon
The Kursalon was constructed in a renaissance style between 1865 and 1867, by the emperor Franz Josef I. In 1868 Johann Strauss held his very first concert here, and ever since then the hall has been used to host concerts. Today, more than 200,000 people enjoy the concerts it hosts every year.
May and June 2024 Changes
During the months of May and June 2024, please note that some concerts may take place at locations in Vienna other than the Kursalon. In these cases, you will also be able to enjoy a delicious dinner if you select this option.
Category A, B and VIP seats are also maintained, even if the concert does not take place in the Kursalon.
