What's Included in the Vienna City Card?
The Vienna City Card is available for different durations of time: 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, and 7 days and comes with many advantages, below are just a few:
- Unlimited travel on Vienna public transport for the selected duration
- Discounts in certain museums and tourist attractions (valid starting from activation for the duration of the card)
- Deals on theatre and concert tickets
- Discounts on daily room rates at participating hotels
- Discounts at participating restaurants
How Does it Work?
The Vienna City Card is valid for 24, 48, 72 hours or 7 days, whichever you prefer. To validate it, after booking, you'll receive a voucher with a code that you can redeem on the Vienna City Card website or on the free IVIE app, where you can personalise the card and set the date and use for public transport and the discounts you choose.
Once you have completed these steps, you can choose whether keep your ticket on your phone or print it out. At this link, you can access the catalogue of discounts included. However, please keep in mind that some places require prior booking to be able to access them. The discounts are valid for 7 days from the activation of the card, regardless of its duration.
Vienna Pass
Please note that this card is different from the Vienna Pass. The Vienna Pass offers free access to different monuments and attractions around the city while the Vienna City Card offers free access to public transport, the Hop-On Hop-Off bus, and discounts around the city.
Children Under 15
Please note that one child up to the age of 15 can travel for free with each Vienna City Card holder.
