On this day trip from Vienna to Budapest, we'll journey to the captivating capital of Hungary, often referred to as the Pearl of the Danube, to marvel at its iconic bridges and delve into its rich history.
What's in store:
Bright and early, we'll pick you up from your hotel and depart for Budapest, Hungary's breathtaking capital.
Upon our arrival in Budapest, starting at Heroes' Square, we'll kick off a city sightseeing tour. From the comfort of our bus, we'll pass by remarkable landmarks such as the Opera House, the Synagogue, and the Elisabeth Bridge, providing plenty of photo opportunities.
Our exploration will then take us to the banks of the Danube River, offering stunning panoramic views of the Budapest Parliament and the Chain Bridge. Then, we'll get out of the vehicle and continue to explore the city on foot, visiting Freedom Square and the exterior of St. Stephen's Basilica, a colossal church in Hungary that can fit an estimated 8,500 people.
Around 2:30 pm, you'll have an hour and a half of free time for lunch and to further explore Budapest at your own pace. We'll regroup at 4:45 pm in front of the Intercontinental Hotel in Budapest, where we'll begin our return journey to Vienna.
After a 12-hour day of extensive sightseeing, we'll conclude the tour and say our goodbyes near the Vienna Opera House.
