Delve into the extensive collection of the Albertina Museum in Vienna, an architectural marvel that was once the residential palace of the Habsburgs.
Albertina Museum Tickets
In the Albertina Museum, located in the heart of Vienna, you can discover one of the most extensive graphic collections in the world. Thousands of drawings and prints by artists such as Dürer, Rembrandt, Rubens, Picasso, Klimt and Michelangelo Buonarroti are on display in its rooms.
The museum itself is an outstanding architectural work. In fact, it is a former palace that belonged to Maria Cristina and her husband, Duke Albert Von Sachsen-Teschen, who gave his name to the gallery. The building has 20 gala rooms that house the original furniture and show classicism at its best.
The most interesting floors are the first and second since only temporary exhibitions are held on the ground floor and in the basement. Among the works in its galleries, the unparalleled collection of Dürer, the most famous artist of the German Renaissance, is worth mentioning. During your visit we recommend you to contemplate some of his works, such as "Young Hare" and the "Grasshopper".
Opening Hours
The Albertina Museum is open every day between 10 am and 6 pm, except Wednesdays and Fridays, when it remains open until 9 pm.
