Chillon Castle is one of the most spectacular fortresses in Switzerland. With this ticket, you'll be able to visit the different rooms of this bastion located on the shores of Lake Geneva at your leisure.

Why visit Chillon Castle?

Located in Veytaux on the shores of Lake Geneva, the Chillon Castle is one of the main tourist attractions of the Swiss canton of Vaud.

With your ticket to Chillon Castle, you'll receive an English brochure that will allow you to explore the 36 rooms of the bastion at your leisure without missing a thing. In some of these rooms, you'll also be able to see short projections of just 6 minutes that tell the long history of this famous Swiss fortification.

Of course, no visit is complete without seeing the dungeons of Chillon Castle, whose architecture will remind you of the great Gothic cathedrals of the 13th century. In 1290, Peter II of Savoy, known as Little Charlemagne, had a prison built in this underground area of the castle.

During your visit, you'll discover all kinds of curiosities, one of which is related to the location of the castle, built on an oval limestone rock that juts into Lake Geneva. You'll also learn several legends of Chillon Castle, among which are those linked to a famous poem about the fortress written by Lord Byron.
