Tour Details
On the day of the activity, we'll meet in the heart of Verona, at the indicated time, to begin our free tour of this classic Italian city.
We'll journey back several millennia as we discover the lively Piazza dei Signori, surrounded by several notable buildings. Our friendly guide will point out the Torre dei Lamberti, a historical building constructed in the 12th century. What legends lie within the tower? We'll find out along the way! Within the square, we'll also admire the statue of renowned Italian poet, Dante.
From here, we'll move to Piazza della Erbe, the oldest square in Verona. In this historic plaza, we'll see Gardello Tower, which stands as a further testament to Verona's rich cultural heritage.
We'll take a moment to admire its facade and learn about the storied past as we stroll over to the Arco della Costa. Did you know this arch connects Piazza della Erbe with dei Signori?
Then, we'll check out Ponte Pietra, a Roman bridge crossing the Adige River, and the oldest in Verona. Replacing a wooden original version, the construction itself dates back to the 1st century. Incredible!
Finally, after 2 to 2.5 hours, our tour of Verona will come to an end. See you next time!
